Why I Love the South: Reason #1

I’m starting an ongoing feature today; photos and short essays that show why I love the South. For bookkeeping’s sake, I’ll place these entries under their own category called… wait for it… The South.

I can think of no better way to begin than with an item we’re especially known for. P-O-R-K, that spells hawg. Giganormous $3 pork chop sandwiches can be bought from the gas station next door. Behold!

Thanks to WikiPedia I just learned I’ve been eating/cooking Hopin’ John all my life. Yum.

The food (Bar-B-Q/ Grilled/ Smoked – Pork) is another reason for Loving the South; as I have informed many of my friend who for one reason or another has spent or is sending time in the South. Be very careful of Southern Women! They have ways of doing things different from the rest of the world, and once it takes a hold of you…. It will not turn you loose. There is nothing like the Love of a Southern Girl. Can I get an Amen.

That’s high praise coming from someone who’s traveled a bit. Here’s hoping that 7 to 1 ratio is still valid!
